Cancun vs Wiesbaden

Uff, tough decision

Cancun was great, location, logistics, contents and organitzation, plus I had some time diving in Cozumel and in the Cenotes.

Wiesbaden was grey and cold, but met a lot of interesting people.

Ask me if you want to know more.

On June 23rd I was invited by Tekom to give a speech on quality perceptions and I did it at tcworld RoadShow in Barcelona.

tcworld Roadshow Barcelona

It was brief presentation on our company, iDISC, and it was shared with Britta Izadi from Multiling, with whom I cooperated to offer an interesting experience on quality perceptions and the results of an online survey that I did among our customers and partners.

Loc World Berlin 2009

Last June 8-10 Localisation World was held in its European format in Berlin. I attended for the first time without a booth, so I had more time to look around, go to the conferences and meet a lot of people. Overall not a bad experience.

I am also posting the pictures I took during those days.

Getting ready for Berlin

Hi, I am back from some complicated months. Right now I am concentrating on the next Localization World June 2008 which will be held in Berlin. Do not hesitate to stop by our booth at the GALA space in the LocWorld exhibition. I will be there or around in some of the workshops and conferences.

Back from Beijing

It is not a song title. It is the sad reality. I had so much fun and I met so many interesting people that I am already looking forward to a next visit to this interesting and expanding country. There is so much to learn and explore. Drop me a note if you want to share something or have any ideas. We will put them in common. I am also attaching a link to the LISA conference pictures I took. Tell me if you are any of them and you would like me to remove you from the lot. I think they are pretty much ok. Enjoy!

LISA membership

Well, as part of my inmersion into Asian culture, and a trip to Shanghai and Beijing by next March, I have applied for membership to LISA as an industry professional. This will give me the chance to take part in the LISA Asia Forum 2008. Currently it seems to be very much oriented to Asian providers. We will see what it comes out of this. Drop me a note if you are going to be in Beijing on those dates. In any case we have always had interest in LISA and probably it was now the right time for us.

Wikilengua membership

Yesterday I applied for membership to Wikilengua, this new initiative from Spanish language organizations, to create a wiki based forum discuss on terminology, style guides and other Spanish language problems. It might be a good source for information, and also a meeting point with people with similar problems related to language. I look forward to being able to contribute soon. See http://www.wikilengua.org/index.php/Portada for more information.
